by
Barbara Sutton, D.Min.
September 28, 2007
In April 2005, I had the opportunity to join approximately 100 other pastoral leaders--ordained, religious and lay ecclesial ministers in Atlanta, Georgia for the Emerging Models of Leadership Symposium. I remember the incredible energy that emerged around future models of leadership. There was no shortage of opinions about the "state of the church" and even more important was the abundance of hope for the church that people left with at the end of the symposium. In 2005, the National Ministry Summit seemed like a vague event. Today, it seems like an opportunity that is worth saving the dates for-April 20-23, 2008.
